Alicia’s Story
Alicia Cureton grew up in Charlotte, NC, with her parents, Jesse and Angela Cureton. She spent much of her childhood in the South Charlotte area. She spent a brief point of her childhood living in San Francisco, CA. She focused her time competitively dancing and playing volleyball. She then went on to study Business Marketing and Sociology at Carson-Newman University in Knoxville, TN, before returning to the Carolinas for her career. Today, she works as a Business Development Manager within Software at an Engineering Services Firm in Charlotte, NC.
Brandon’s Story
Brandon grew up in Knoxville, TN, with his parents, Marsha and Will Cosey. From childhood, Brandon has had a love for sports. That love is how he ended up at Carson-Newman University. Brandon played football and studied Business Marketing for four years before graduating. He then earned his Master’s in Business and Sports Administration at Tusculum University while playing football before moving to Charlotte, NC. Now, Brandon is working as a Manager at a Management Consulting Company. 
Our Relationship
Alicia and Brandon met during their time at Carson-Newman. Yes, they are college sweethearts. In the Spring of 2017, they fatefully sat next to each other during a Marketing lecture, where they grew to learn more about one another. As their friendship grew during that semester, denying that they had much in common became hard. Once graduating, Alicia moved back to Charlotte while Brandon pursued his Master's in Tennessee. They continued to date long distance before Brandon moved to Charlotte to be with Alicia (group "aww"). After living in Charlotte for a year, the couple became engaged in May 2023.
